Puneri Paltan roared again with a smashing victory over the Telugu Titans in the 46th match of Pro Kabaddi League season 3, at Thyagaraj Sports Complex in Delhi.
It was a spectacular performance by mighty Manjeet Chhillar and his troops against the Telugu Titans. Pune won by a lead of 17 points (41-24). Puneri Paltan was in the lead in the first half by 15 points (21-06) and stretched it to 41 when the match ended.
Manjeet Chhillar, the last season’s great wall of Bengaluru Bulls became the great wall for Puneri Paltan in this season. Manjeet became the best defender for Pune in this season many times. He got the inspiring defender award in this match too. He bagged 11 points including 8 tackle points with one super tackle and three raid points from his 17 raids.
Puneri Paltan’s Deepak Nivas Hooda got the best raider of the match award and player of the match award. He bagged five points including one tackle point and four raid points from his 13 raids. Surjeet won the Moment f the match award. He bagged five tackle points including one super tackle for Puneri Paltan. Raider Tushar Patil bagged six raid points with one bonus points.
Telugu Titans’ raiders’ raids were unsuccessful to tackle Pune’s defends most of the time. Sukesh Hegde was the best raider for the unlucky team Telugu Titans. He bagged six raid points from his 12 raids. Rohit Baliyan also scored six raid points with three bonus points from 13 raids. Captain Rahul Chaudhary bagged five raid points from 14 raids for Titans.
Puneri Paltan is placed in the 3rd position with 37 points in the points table. Telugu Titans is on the fifth position with 33 points.
